The Warrior Group Unveiled
Episode 3 finished on a huge suspense moment and introduced the first table of characters who will separate from the central cast to begin their independent quest, separate from the additional parties.
This warrior group includes Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).
Why Split the Party?
Considering a large ensemble, it was clear from the beginning that keeping everyone at a single group would be unworkable.
Hence, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Overture, weaving together the individual narratives before branching into three separate parties: Warriors, Strategists, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Soldiers Table
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for participants who are drawn to a classically intense fight-heavy story mode where peaceful solutions are scarce.
At first glance, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander might appear out of place, but the actions of the third episode make it clear why these particular heroes are best suited for the Soldiers table.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the group knows exactly where to proceed after a violent opening clash with the antagonists.
Casimir of Thjazi—whose passing started the narrative’s action—used the foes for his own means, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the character, and stealing all the enchanted items to auction.
The traitor then settled his obligations and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, above the city, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Secondly, each character has a specific drive to depart Dol-Makjar:
- The agile hero, as the close ally and best friend, desires revenge.
- The adventurer has experience in Timmony and warns that it is a dangerous environment.
- Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his house’s orders to eliminate Teor and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
- But, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could enable the group reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Additionally, Teor pledged a unbreakable promise to The savior for his rescue and will now follow him wherever.
Fugitives
Finally, all of them are sought by the rulers that govern the city for a multiple motives, making staying in the city too risky:
- The agile adventurer and The hero are notorious outlaws.
- Tyranny and The healer turned against the influential house and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
- The fighter is wanted dead by the family.
This leaves them no alternative but to journey toward the remote area in pursuit of the traitor.
What’s Next?
Based on episode three’s post-show segment, we discover that the combat party will be absent next week, leaving the remaining eight participants to assemble the Explorers and Strategists tables.
Audiences can look forward to finding out which adventurers will be assigned to which table in the story’s concluding setup installment, released on October 24.
